Micro Firmware closed its doors in 2004 after many great years providing end-user BIOS support and thurd-party PC BIOS Upgrades to tens of thousands of end-users worldwide. At its peak, Micro Firmware had 30 full-time employees, handled as many as 1,000 end-user inquiries daily, and shipped several hundred orders every day. The falling price of replacement motherboards, increased system complexity, and the slowed pace of major changes in PC architecture and the BIOS specification largely negated the need for third-party BIOS upgrades.
